Thessaloniki airport is located southeast of the city of Thessaloniki. It is 15 km away from the city center. Thessaloniki Airport received its first flight in 1930 and now receives 4million passengers annually. Moreover, the extension of the metro line currently under construction will add another way to connect the airport to the city of Thessaloniki.
