How to get to Karpathos

You can go to Karpathos all year round by boat or by plane. There are two ports on the island for boat access. Diafani on the north side of the island and Karpathos (Pigadia) on the south side.  The shipping company ANEK is serving the island with three itineraries per week from the port of Piraeus. There are also itineraries from other Aegean islands such as Rhodes and Crete.

Travel to Karpathos by plane and rental car

If you again choose to make a much shorter trip you can take the plane from Athens airport, Rhodes airport and Heraklion airport in Crete. If you are from Northern Greece you can book a flight from Thessaloniki airport. The island has the airport of Karpathos (AOK) and gives the opportunity to reduce the duration of their trip. Karpathos Airport is in the southern part of the island. It is 14 km from the capital Pigadia, Karpathos. By car, it will take about 20 minutes from the airport to reach Pigadia.
